Our Chiropractor

Dr Heidi Upneck-Nel has over 20 years’ experience providing chiropractic care to patients from newborns through seniors. Originally from South Africa, she completed her chiropractic education there, at the Durban University of Technology. She practised in South Africa for about 10 years, before moving to Australia in 2011 and practising in Nelson Bay. In 2021, Heidi opened our Maitland location.

Heidi is passionate about combining education and holistic health care to help every member of the family achieve their health and wellness goals.

When she’s not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her two sons and tackling hands-on projects.

Our Massage Therapist

Also from South Africa, our massage therapist Santah Upneck-Nel began as a chiropractic patient, before moving on to become our practice manager and finally, a highly trained massage therapist. Offering various massage techniques including relaxation, myofascial release, deep tissue and remedial, as well as dry needling, Santah loves augmenting patients’ chiropractic care with soft tissue work to provide a comprehensive approach to healing.

With a background in coaching children’s sport, Santah brings a friendly, upbeat approach that makes our office fun and cheerful. When she’s not working, she can usually be found spending time with family outdoors.

Our Receptionist

The smiling face that greets you when you walk through our doors belongs to Sally, the newest member of our team. When you call in, she’ll answer all your questions and make sure you know how to find us. She loves meeting our patients and helping them feel at home, so they can focus on the business of healing.
